Kim Smet and Jonathan Baker

Kim is pursuing a PhD in Environmental Engineering at Harvard University, focusing on the creation of more adaptable water management systems given increased future uncertainty from climate change. She grew up in Zimbabwe and studied in Canada prior to graduate school, and is interested in discovering differing local perspectives on wider global issues. Jonathan is a 6th year PhD student studying water policy. His current research explores programs aimed at reducing water consumption and improving water quality. He has also spent time along the Mississippi River and traveling throughout Nevada learning about challenges associated with managing either too much, or too little water. Jonathan also spends a lot of time running, and enjoys most outdoor beach and alpine activities.
