Sustainability and Agriculture Part 1: A Farmer’s Perspective

Kristin Kimball was a literary agent and freelance writer in New York City until she fell madly in love with a dynamic young farmer and decided to move upstate with him. Their goal was an ambitious one: create a farm that could feed a whole community, while being economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable. Here, she talks about the biggest difficulties facing farmers, nerds out about carbon sequestration, and explains how being a writer has influenced her experience as a farmer.
